CLEANING AND STERILISATION INSTRUCTIONS. These instructions are applicable to tungsten carbide, diamond and steel dental rotary instruments (burs). Always Clean, Disinfect and then Sterilise before first use and after each reuse.

NOTE: You can clean without disinfecting, but you cannot disinfect without cleaning.

CLEANING: Place used rotary instruments in Quadex® Bur Cleaner™ solution to clean and disinfect for a minimum of 20 minutes. Always clean thoroughly with a brush.

ULTRASOUND CLEANING: Place the burs in a bur holder inside the ultrasound for a minimum 5 minute cycle.

STERILISING: After cleaning and disinfecting immerse burs and bur holder in Quadex® Cold Sterilant® for 30 minutes.

NOTE: Disinfected rotary instruments in bur holder must be rinsed in distilled water prior to sterilisation in Quadex® Cold Sterilant®

STORAGE: Following sterilising, dry the burs and store in a clean and moisture free environment.

WARNING: Used burs must be considered microbially contaminated and appropriate handling precautions should be taken during reprocessing . Gloves, eye protection and a mask should be worn if there are specific infections or cross-contamination risks.
